Traveling, hiking, or skiing in the backcountry? Call the avalanche line at 719.520.0020, a free service sponsored by Mountain Chalet for nearly thirty years. The Colorado Avalanche Information Center updates the recording every morning during snow season, providing you with backcountry snow and avalanche conditions from around the state. The CAIC website is also an excellent source of up-to-date information.
Rental Equipment
Mountain Chalet offers a variety of rental equipment. Winter rental gear includes snowshoes, ice axes, and backcountry skis, boots, and poles.
