Denali: The Good, the Bad & the Ugly.
Join Kara Lorenz to hear the tale of her adventure on Denali, one of the Seven Summits, this May. Take a hike with her during her 20-day journey up the Kahiltna Glacier, the longest glacier in the Alaska Range, toward the summit of Denali.
See photos and hear stories; ask your questions and entertain whether you’ll do it next?
Denali’s summit reaches 20,310 feet (6,190 m) above sea level – the highest peak in North America and the northernmost mountain above 6,000 meters elevation in the world.
Denali is the centerpiece of Denali National Park. Spanning 18000 feet from its base to its peak, Denali is one of the largest mountain sitting above sea level.
Denali rises from a sloping plain with elevations from 1,000 to 3,000 ft (300 to 910 m), for a base-to-peak height of 17,000 to 19,000 ft (5,000 to 6,000 m).
