Your body was designed to move in countless ways all day long and throughout our different seasons! Let’s improve how you move this winter, so you can keep doing the activities you love, year-round. Luckily, you can incorporate these basics and principles as you move about during the day doing what you would normally do…no extra time needed!
Join Joanna Zaremba, Restorative Exercise Specialist, as she teaches the basics of whole-body alignment and biomechanics principles you need to start moving in ways your body craves this winter. Starting with the feet and moving upward, we’ll cover optimal lower body alignment for efficient movement and injury prevention. You’ll leave with new awareness of how you move and ideas for how to move better (and more) throughout your day with no extra time needed. You’ll learn simple exercises that will strengthen your feet and hips while improving your balance, which will translate into more confidence on snow and ice. Come in comfy clothes ready to kick off your shoes–you will be moving (and playing) during this mini workshop!
Joanna Zaremba is a Restorative Exercise Specialist, Registered Yoga Teacher, and Colorado Mountain Club Member. She has been a movement professional for the last 15 years in a variety of settings working with all ages. She loves helping people to move better, so they have the freedom to participate in the activities that bring them joy. In her spare time, you can find Joanna moving in nature (playing, foraging, hiking, climbing, hanging, skiing, snowshoeing, biking, and climbing trees) on her own and with her husband and four-year-old son. Joanna teaches clients privately and in group classes and workshops.
